Yes yes

I have been remarkably remiss in not posting sooner, but I've been busy (and yet curiously bored). And due to my great fear of looking like a tourist, I have taken no pictures. But! I got a fabulous gift of a new fancy schmancy camera from Katy, Rick, John W., Chris, Chen and David B yesterday and they have charged me with taking pictures, so that I will do. I promise!

In other news, Georgetown is pretty, preppy, and picturesque. On one hand, it makes me sick with its prettiness, but on the other, it lures me into false and lulling thoughts of how this is the location of my childhood dreams. Thus, I am torn. Mostly, though, my thoughts are occupied with how expensive rent is! Boooo on expensive rent!

But since Laura and Mairin are now here, life is looking up. I almost feel like I have a social life. Laura and I saw Ocean's 13 and went to a nifty, very-DC place for dinner (Ben's Chili Bowl...mmmm...cheap eats are good, especially when they are chili!) on Saturday. And I found a good coffeeshop for reading and chilling on Sunday. And Monday I got fingerprinted with Mairin and Laura at the DCPS offices. I also finally bought a guidebook, only to find when I got home that Meredith (Thanks! You rock!) had sent me one. So now I have two! Hurray! Double the usefulness!

And...I have no idea what I'm going to do today, but I'm sure it will be full of exciting errand-fun!
